Transformative Justice for Taiko

This workshop is an introduction to the abolitionist principles and practices of Transformative Justice, an approach to responding to violence and harm which seeks not to create more harm in the process.

Co-facilitated by RAW Taiko and Rania El Mugammar, this introductory session uses a blend of discussion, individual and collective reflection tools, concrete case studies, and taiko drumming to explore the practices and challenges of transformative justice. Anchored in mutual aid, non punitive interventions, and people power, the workshop invites reflection on carceral logic, interpersonal skills, and community infrastructure towards a new world.
